WHAT IS A8A 5 part form

A8A form must be presented at the border point complete with all five copies.
If carrier is using preclearance (pars) this form is not required.

A8A forms - 5-ply snap-out.

Standard format is 5ply - 5 snap-out forms per transaction number.

Also available in Post Audit format to be used when your Company is registered as a Post Audit Carrier.

THERE ARE 3 KEY ELEMENTS TO A8A FORM:

1.) Carrier code - this is a 4 digit numeric code that is obtained
by applying to Canada Customs and Revenue Agency CCRA.
2.) Sequential start number - each A8A form set is sequentially
numbered. There is no required number of digits, but 6 to 8 is common.
3.) Customer name and address - this is an optional field

HOW ARE A8A FORMS SUPPLIED:
The forms are supplied as a 5-ply continuous snap-out forms and measure 8” x 5.5 ”.
Printed bilingual (Englis/French).
